New England Foliage 🍂

To explore my passion for Computational Photography, I headed to the New England to capture the fall foliage and build my own filters to bring it to life. Here, I show some of the best images I captured and used computational photography to apply filters to.
Here is an example of an image I took before and after I applied a computational photography filter. While the original image captures the stunning set and silhouette of the mountains, it fails to capture any details of the foreground which were equally beautiful. To achieve the brightening of the foreground I created a filter with the followuing parameters (Exposure: +0.28, Contrast: +5, Highlights: -27, Shadows: +25, Whites: +5, Blacks: -11, Temperature: +22, Tint: -10, Vibrance: +8, Saturation: -1, Orange Hue: -17, Orange Saturation: +31)
A sunrise shot at Cape Elizabeth gave stunning results. As the sun rose from over the horizon, reflecting on the water, the orange/purple hues beamed on the lighthouse. To better reflect the intesity of this effect, I created a filter with the followuing parameters (Exposure: +0.10, Contrast: +16, Highlights: -28, Shadows: +33, Whites: -31, Blacks: -21, Temperature: +12, Tint: -30, Vibrance: +11, Saturation: -4, Red Hue: -21, Red Saturation: +13)
